【Description】

Known widely as an auspicious place of fertility, couples from all over Japan visit to pray for successful births. In celebration of their newborns, they then return and adorn the shrine with a bell, which now hang in countless thick bunches. Lining the path from the second red torii gate is an impressive row of cedar trees, designated by the prefecture as a natural monument. They boast substantial girths and heights of over four and thirty metres respectively.
